Ashaun Viassy was born in Waterloo on October 26,1970. He attended Roman Catholic Primary School and Rural Training and Commercial Institute both in Waterloo. During 1983 he joined his parents in New York, USA where he continued secondary school education at Beach Channel High School in Queens, New York. He attended New York University (NYU) TISH School and John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York , from 1991 and graduated in 1995 with a combined BA Degree in Criminal Justice /Criminology and MPA- Inspector General. While at John Jay his extra curricular activities included radio station management, president of debate club and college soccer player.

After college he work for New York City Department of Investigation and for the past 10 years he have been working as a Federal Officer for The United States Department of Justice in Brooklyn, New York.

Viassy have two childrens: Fatima Lashaun Viassy and Ashaun Viassy Jr aka (A.J) both are in New York.

Since 1990 to 1999 he hosted Viascity Music TV show on Time Warner Cable TV in New York, with interviews from top artist/ entertainers in the world, politicians and promotes concerts.
